What our customers say

Cannot fault our stay at Valley Views whatsoever. We were greeted by Patrick and he was exceptionally helpful at showing us around and getting us settled in. The tents are amazing. The bed was super comfy and there was lots of nice touches inside the tent. We opted for the home cooked meal and it was really amazing. Not what you expect when you think of a camping meal! The outdoor baths in the forest were so good that we had one at night in the dark and one in the morning during sunrise. Amber and Patrick were so attentive and friendly and are clearly very passionate about what they do. I would return in a heartbeat.

Well worth the very slight detour. We loved the tents, loved the eco lodge. It was more than what we expected - the whole place is an off grid, nature and environment loving getaway to appreciate beauty and just. relax. Amber and Patrick were both born with a gift for hospitality and you feel it down to the level of detail, from the interior decor to the percolated coffee in the morning. Our only regret is arriving justtt in time for the last bit of sunset instead of basking in the full glow in our epid dome tent. Thanks Amber and Partrick!

My girlfriend found this place online and we stayed here for a night. We rented an RV, so we could have just slept in there. The view was amazing and so peaceful. The owners were amazing and so welcoming. They so helped us with other places to visit on are holiday. We had an amazing stay here!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Valleyviews Glamping and so glad we made the detour on our trip through New Zealand to visit this lovely spot. We stayed in a geometric dome tent for one night only (sadly!). This is a truly family run, independent business and you can feel the love and pleasure that has gone into this blissful glamping campsite. Comfy beds, modern amenities, amazing local food and wine and the friendliest hosts. The hosts also offer a number of activities during you stay including horse riding, fishing and massages. Bliss! We had a wonderful stay and felt truly relaxed after only one night - the al fresco baths definitely helped :). Have recommended to everyone and would always visit again!

Never tried glamping before, but glad we did. This place was fabulous. Great views. Great hosts who clearly love their job and are incredibly knowledgeable about the region. Off the grid (this aspect managed very well), and no wiifii but good cell phone coverage, so you can hotspot. Lovely breakfast provided. Rooms warm and clean, comfy beds, and outdoor hot tubs (if you want one). Communal area a brilliant set-up. No fire pit as currently a fire ban. A 3 course dinner is available if pre-ordered. Trust me...it’s lovely. No effort is spared to ensure you have a great stay. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing rooms, amazing views, and amazing location. My expectations were blown with the amazing hospitality and how well maintained everything was. Owners should be proud of what they made. Hope to return again one day.

We were given a nights glamping as a gift from our daughters. Arranged to use the voucher which was a simple seamless process. We upgraded to a geodesic dome as autumn had arrived. Amber & Patrick were great communicators and as we live 45 mins away finding them was simple. We were met on arrival given a thorough briefing about all aspects of our stay. They are off grid so power consumption is something to watch. The facilities are first class, the dome was awesome with views that went on forever, the bed was huge and super comfortable and they even supplied headlamps if you needed them. The domes do not have reticulated power but they do have starlight lights which make night time special. Our dome also had its own mini log fire which kept us warm after the sun retreated. Also the huge window looking out over the Waitaki and Haka valleys leave nothing to the imagination. We also had dinner that night and retired after enjoying a robust country meal. Next morning breakfast was set out for self help and the owners came to the lodge and we all had a great chat about their operation. Would not hesitate recommending and we will be sharing our experience with our friends. Valley Views Glamping is the best introduction to this kind of a break, go book.

We had an incredible stay here in one of the geodesic domes. We have done a bit of glamping around NZ but this was by far the most comfortable stay. The dome was insulated with beautiful views. The owners have thought of all the creature comforts you may need. Plus the bath in the forest is magical!

Amber and Patrick are wonderful hosts - and have created an amazing glamping experience. Highly recommend staying at least one night including dinner - it broke the journey between Queenstown and Christchurch perfectly. Stunning views; gorgeous tents, delicious food! What they have created for others is truly inspiring- thank you!

We loved everything about this experience and found Amber and Patrick absolutely sincere in sharing what they have lovingly created. We were doing the Alps2Ocean bike ride so the pick up and transfer back to the winery was wonderful. It’s a perfect place to stay for riders - keeping the outdoors experience with the touch of luxury. The rustic bath tubs among the trees with the beautiful valley view are terrific for tired muscles.
